I have struggled for ages getting my TS-590 to respond to band changes from within WSPR 2.12 and show, vice versa, the band the 590 is tuned to. I have tried both serial and USB modes, and although I RX and TX fine, upload spots and everything else seems hunky dory, I am unable to make the software see or set the rig frequency. If I try and change bands the DOS box shows an error:

Error attempting to set rig frequency.
rigctl -m 214 -r USB -s 19200 -C data_bits=8 -C stop_bits=1  -C serial_handshake=None F 7038600

Now, in my logging app, (which is not run concurrently...) the frequency read and send commands are F;   and  f;  is that the reason? If so, can it be changed without recompiling? I run under Windows 7 64 bit as administrator. many thanks for reading this :)

Just a question: Isn't the 590 supposed to be -m 231?

Sorry I see that it is common to use that model with the 590. Good luck in your quest!
