Hello All -
I am trying to find out some info about a repeater I can hear on 2 meters. I live in Port Townsend, WA about 35 miles NNW of Seattle. I can hear a repeater on 147.120 that is apparently hooked to the internet similar to the WIN system on 440. I have tried to get into this repeater but although I have tried a wide variety of PL tones I can't break in. Does anyone in my area know what this repeater is and what its PL tone is? I don't have access to 440 and the WIN system so I would like to access this repeater. Thanks.

Here is the web site for Seattle repeaters:

Looked in the ARRL Repeater Directory; no 147.120MHz machine is listed. This might be a private, uncoordinated repeater using a nonstandard PL tone.

This site shows a number of 147.120 repeaters in Washington - so of which may be in range of the OP.

WWARA coordination site shows only two .12 repeaters in West Washington; one in Everett which is Fusion, another at South Mountain. IACC (East Washington) lists just one at Cooks Mountain.

I'm thinking that you are right. I was also suspecting that maybe it was fusion becasue I was introduced to that mode when I was using an FT-991A. Unfortuntely, my 746Pro is old tech compared to the newer gear.
Thanks for all the replies.

Anybody thinking about looking north of the border?? In the Seattle metro area, you're not that far away.

Try 156.7 or 100.0 hz CTCSS and get back if either works.

It sounds like the KH6VM repeater in Everett, WA. Info is 147.12 (+), tone 103.5 Hz. I am on vacation just south of Everett. I accessed it this morning with the above info.
