Title: How many use a different Raspberry Pi w/ MMDVM for each mode.
Post by: K1KIM on April 22, 2021, 07:13:06 PM
Since Pi-Star hot spots are so inexpensive to build, I was thinking of having one of each for YFS, D-Star, DMR etc.

I wouldn't have to go into the configuration and switch modes for each radio I have set up for each digital mode.

Of course each Pi would need to be on a different UHF frequency.

Anyone else doing this?

Yes, I have been doing this for more than year now. I have 3 PI's floating around the shack and running different modes. I used to run one as dual mode but it always got stuck on YSF America link and hated DMR. With the cost being so inexpensive, I just built 3 and set them up on the different modes with no problems.
