Title: Associated Radio in Kansas.
Post by: KT0DD on January 15, 2022, 05:56:27 PM
Just wanted to say Dan happened to come thru with an FTDX10 when everyone but HRO was out of them. He held it for me for 1 week until my payday allowed me to close the sale. Shipped promptly and no hassles. Associated Radio did great.

A small company with good prices and great personal service.  I live in Kansas City area and very glad that Associated Radio is alive and well.

Been a long time satisfied customer back to when Wade ran the place and I lived about six blocks away there in Overland Park. I still stop by every time I am in town and usually buy something, even if it is only an issue of QST.

Thanks for pointing these folks out. I will throw some business their way. Always happy to buy from the smaller places where you can actually speak to the owner.

I have had dealings with Dan at Associated and never an issue.  Glad the small stores are doing well.

Have dealt with Associated at their store and hamfests; great people to work with.  Several years ago, while in Kansas City on a 'get away weekend', I dropped by their store looking for a 160m antenna.  One of their staff recommended their inverted-L and pointed to an empty peg on the display rack...awkward!  He immediately had one of their techs build one for me.  About 20 minutes later, I had their Princeton 160m inverted-L in hand (the solder joints were still warm).  The antenna worked great and I was very impressed with the Associated customer service.

I have done business with Associated Radio for many years, stopped by the store once, and have seen them at the Oklahoma City hamfest several times.  I can echo what everyone else has said-a great company to do business with.  Glad they are still around when many other ham stores aren't.
