Does anyone have any insight on the backorder status of the FT-991A?
Thanks!

DX Eng shows an estimated ship date of 12/27/2022. Most of the others do not even show that... and will probably slip anyway.
You might ask Yaesu.

If the railroads strike, you can expect indefinite delays, on everything.
-
You can leave your email on the dx engineering site when you click on the 991a description, and they will notify you when they are back in stock.

The railroads are going on strike just because of more sick pay that they want, how weird and how sad.

That's not the only reason the railroad workers are contemplating a strike. There are many grievances, such as one man crews, which is extremely dangerous. As a retired freight engineer, I'm thankful I had a conductor with me to keep me awake on long 12 hour plus runs.

Thanks!
I spent the past year researching the FT-991A vs. IC-7300. Every YouTube video...reviews, comparisons, etc. I have three Yaesu HTs already but tried to be fair. In the end I went with the 991A and think I will enjoy it. Big learning curve with any rig like this - part of the fun!
