Like the most interesting man in the world would say: I don’t always work 80 meters, but when I do, it’s in the dx window. But this season, I have been experiencing serious S9 or better static levels anywhere between 3780 and 3805….the only area I work on 80 except for the CW territory. Has anyone else experienced such noise there this season? Especially if ur in the Northeast, Great Lakes or mid Atlantic areas of the US. Let me know if u do. I realize wishing it away won’t do any good, but I really wish these noise levels would die down….

Static on 80 meters, yup sounds familiar ..... I've always considered 75/80 to be a nighttime band, mostly due to the static during the day.

OK, no noise here (at least now)... sounds like you have a local noise source affecting you.
Do you have an old AM radio with a ferrite bar antenna to help locate it? (easier to use than a small loop or directional yagi).

Forgive me...I guess I didn't include this.....the static wipeout in the DX window I have had all season has occurred at night. And it's strictly in the Window (between 3780 and 3805). Aside from the lower CW portions of the band, I do not operate anywhere else on 80 meters.

Yes, but I don't think this is man made.....I will check with my friend down the street if he gets the same thing.
