Just bought a FT-710 to replace my trustworthy FT-450D, in our RV. I would like to use a small 10" to 13" monitor. They only ones I can find have HDMI or VGA ports. I have been looking on Ebay and Craig's list, with no luck for DVI-D monitors.
I have heard stories that DVI-D to HDMI converter cables have caused problems with the radio. I was wondering if anyone has tried a DVI-D to VGA cable?
Thanks

Plenty of new monitors with DVI port on Amazon / Ebay. Search "DVI Monitor"

DVI-D means "Digital" which I would think most any new monitor with a DVI port would support this. I am running an older monitor with DVI port on my 710 that is 800x480. Running it because its more of a square monitor that fits in my shelf. If you bought a monitor with DVI port from Amazon and it did not work for some quirky reason you could always return it.

Chuck,
You're right, there is a bunch on Amazon. I am looking for a 15" or smaller monitor. You have to read the ads very carefully, after the 1st couple they're not DVI. Then the 13" and smaller are a lot of money. I have not recently looked on Ebay, I will this afternoon.
Thank You very much,

Ah, sorry I missed the part about a smaller monitor. I too was concerned about adapters thus have not used one. Hope you find what you seek. Maybe check out local Goodwill stores etc. 73 Chuck W4NBO

Hi Gary, I have been using an HDMI DVI Adapter Cable with A.I.S. Signal-Interferece-Protection with my FT-710. I purchased it on Amazon Prime for $8.99 and it has worked flawless since February when I purchased it. I have used it with my 23" Samsung Monitor and my 19 " ONN ($100 Walmart special) monitor.

They make different lengths. I bought the 6 foot one.
