Many of my BAs, even stuff I home brewed in the 70's, have rubber bumpers/feet. The rubber is hard and cracked. Any good source of these? I especially need some for a paddle, bug, and small keyer enclosure. Thanks!

Screw mount rubber feet (bumpers) are often carried by local ACE hardware stores... either blister packs, or in the hardware section that deals with more specialized hardware.

Mark, KE9PQ has a website with many genuine original style rubber feet and bumpers . I think a web search would return an address.

I didn't know they went extinct...? I can get a pretty selection of sizes at the remaining electronics shop here, and trust me, they don't carry a huge range of stuff.

Far from extinct . Generic types are all around , the corner hardware is loaded with them . Some folks are looking for specific types to match OEM . That can be a different matter .

If the local hardware emporium doesn't have what you need, McMaster-Carr will: http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-rubber-bumpers/=1179nvz. They have a nifty Durometer chart that helps with selection.

Our local hardware is oriented to industrial supplies and has most of what MCM and Essentra lists , along with a few other styles , Nice thing is they can be seen and purchased in person .
