I only played a bit; I've been away from the radio for nearly two years and I'm just getting started again.  I don't know if my new antenna just stinks or if the bands were that bad, but I didn't hear much DX in the CW Sweepstakes weekend.   What I heard was mostly too weak to work.  Or was it just that everybody was over in the (new to me) FT-8 segments of the bands?  ;-)

Well, if you were looking for DX in Sweeptakes, you are not going to find any. It is a domestic contest, almost exclusively. I did hear some DX calling in some other contest on CW, especially on 40 and 20, with decent signals. Being otherwise occupied, I didn't listen on 60, 30, 17, or 12.
The bands seemed decent for Sweeps, though. I didn't try 10 but 80 through 15 all offered contacts. Biggest thrill? I was going for the clean sweep (working all 83 ARRL sections) and almost made it. I understand why Puerto Rico was so scarce, though NP4Z did make a short but valiant effort late on Sunday.  But Northern New York?  Thrilled I got 81.  Bummed I didn't get the other two.  Maybe during the phone contest later this month...

"DX" as in Europe isn't supposed to be calling US stations during Sweepstakes.

"DX" as in KP2 and KP4, they are ARRL sections so they can participate in SS, but very few KP2/KP4 stations were on this weekend.

The usual KL7 and KH6 (also meeting your question of DX) were on for ARRL SS for sure.

I was called by several DX stations during sweepstakes (on 20M, 40M, and 80M). Instead of sending them the sweepstakes exchange, I just sent "5NN MD".

One of the more exotic stations to call me in SS was a FR4. I don't get called by FR4 every single weekend!

Well, that explains my lack of DX.  :-/   Whoops.
