It looks like HC8LUT just recently went on the air... They are extremely weak here on 17m SSB right now. No copy on my dipole and about 4/1 on the delta loop, but somehow they heard me  Smiley That's another new one! I must be in a bad spot to work HC8 because I missed the HD8M DXpedition since they were always super weak here...

Congrats Mason.  Funny how sometimes the easy ones ain't so easy.  HC8 used to be easily workable in every contest but not that active anymore.

QRO would help!  Maybe re-orient your loop or try to get something up for 40?

Worked them today relatively easily from central MN on 17M with a G5RV and 500w.  This DX stuff is fun.

Better signal on 20m then 17m. Just worked them on 14.250 a few minutes ago. They are about 5/4 to 5/6 here...

HC8N was the big contest station. If you search on YouTube "hc8n lu9efo"  you will find a multi-part youtube video of what's left of the station.

Just worked HC8LUT on 80m SSB for a new band... caught them last week on satellites. Now need to catch them on digital, 17m, 12m and if they are working it, 30m. I didn't see a 30m antenna in their equipment list and so far, no 30m spots... seems to be an SSB/digi only DXpedition, so probably didn't bother with 30m just for digi.

EDIT: That was fast... saw them spotted on FT8, first on 80m, then on 40m and worked them within just a few calls... even in time to come edit this post.  Cheesy

Now I have to get on during the daytime to catch them on 12/17m.  Smiley

They were on CW, at least on Sunday. Worked them on 7.007 up 1.

Hi all - I worked them on 40m SSB.  Moderately tough copy but we did it.  Very newbie question: I see myself on HRDlog.net but I use LOTW. Does anyone know if they will eventually QSL there or do I have to open my own HRDlog.net account?
