Is anyone using a stock TS-590SG for a 630M transceiver.  I'm guessing all I would need is an amplifier to increase TX power ?

That's a very nice station.
The TS590SG has a great receiver on  the LF/MF bands.
Lots of guys with good signals running much smaller TX antennas.
I love extreme stations N6LF is a prime example.

Rudy's amp is barely mentioned, the obscure ENI 1040. Those cost a fortune, even used/refurbished.

The Monitor Sensors transverter looks like the best way to go for most of us.

I'm familiar with the ENI amp. They can be had for anywhere from $900.00 to thousands.
Hellenic RF Labs is making a AB1 amp that covers the 630 meter band thru 40 meters . It's 1.3kw at 50vdc, it can be
driven with less power and less VDC to stay within the 500 watt TPO FCC limitations.
Costs abt $499.00 plus shipping from Greece. I've had some of their VHF amps they work as advertised.
