Title: Satellite TV
Post by: M5AEO on September 28, 2008, 03:35:16 AM
The situation is......I want to errect a helical vertical for 40m, BUT it will be within about 20ft of the communal satellite TV dish, which is above my appartment.  What are the chances of me getting away with it if I don't run any more than 20watts??

Its hard to say because its very dependent on the  quality of the LNA and the installation.

A lot probably depends on what you do for a counterpoise for your vertical. Lack of a good counterpoise means you'll have 40M RF running down the shield of your coax thus an added possibility of RFI.
