Title: Confused.
Post by: WB9URN on December 04, 2009, 03:22:24 PM
Looking for a tool to crimp PL259s on RG6 coax.
My local cable technician gave me about 500 feet of RG6, the stuff with snot inside the jacket.

Will be using crimp-on PL259s. Right now, I am using what are called 'gas pliers', which have a circular area that I use for the crimp. Seems to be working, but would like to do a more professional job. All I have been able to fine for RG6, is crimpers for N style connectors.

Anyone help?

It might be easier and cheaper to put regular F connectors on the RG6 and then use an F to PL-259 adaptor.  That's the way I handle my Beverage feedlines that are RG6.
