anyone help me with the pinout of the plug on the back of the amp for remote?
and my receive preamp is cooked, is it worth replacing the transistors? i received the amp with it burned up, but i heard also it will keep burning up because of the design. what should i do, has anyone ever fixed them? what are the part numbers etc.. thanks

I will answer your question about repairing the receive pre-amp.  IMO it is not worth the trouble, especially if you use FM.  A pre-amp located at the rig is basically worthless.  It will increase the S meter reading, but that is about all.

I will leave the remote pin-out to somebody else.

Hello, An external preamp for receive is only good to use for a very long run of coax. It will make up for the loss of the coax. It is best to put it at the antennas. A preamp will amplify the noise the same as the signal, so the signal to noise ratio will not change.

Hope this helps.
