That's interesting, thank you. Ernie Rice is literally all over the Yahoo groups radio boards (e.g., Radio Shack DX-160 Group, so on), with at least 10 posts a day on each group. I wouldn't have guessed he's a scam artist. Judging by his posts I had him figured to be a really elderly man living in extremely modest conditions. He's quite grouchy in his posts, often making reference to the old days when life was less complicated, for example.

Thank you DXTUNER and N5VTU.
I suspected something was up with the very first post he made on ARF.
Ernie asked a question, wasn't happy with the replies he got and decided
to bash everyone who tried to help.  Later he'd keep adding bizarre
comments, often contradicting himself but never editing his earlier posts.

It was like having a conversation with two different people, neither one
making *any* sense at all.  Makes me wonder about Ernie's thought processes.

He has made several attempts using different aliases and proxy servers to regain access to ARF. Caveat Emptor.

He got me for $290.00 earlier this year.  Claimed he hurt his back, and was unable to pack the rig.  That was in May.  Around July, he stopped replying to my status checks.

If that is indeed his correct contact/address info, then it would be easy enough to confront him and straighten things out. Sometimes there is no other way. I don't mean get physical, but just the idea of someone showing up at his door could change things. I've done it and it works.
