Title: Buying a used desktop PC
Post by: G0GQK on August 15, 2005, 02:14:42 PM
I wish to buy a used desktop PC, the type where the monitor sits on top, most probably a few years old, specifically to use Digipan.

What would be the smallest required, and can I have some suggestions as to which manufacturers or their models are RF proof. The last time I tried Digipan the problems I had with RF drove me nuts and I gave up !

kind regards,  73,  Mel

hi mel,

If you go with any of the big names, you should be fine.  I would avoid any 'clones'.

Another option would be a clean used IBM thinkpad or one of the DELL models.

Did you use an interface or wire the radio direct to the pc via cables when you tried digiatl ?
