Title: separation kit for Kenwood TM-G707A
Post by: KW4JPR on April 04, 2014, 11:28:47 AM
Hello. I have a Kenwood TM-G707A and am looking for a separation kit. The manual states that the DFK-3C is the one needed but the closest I can find is the DFK-3D. I realize that this is the one for the the TM-V71A but am curious to know if it will work on my G707A as well. Thoughts?

The mount for the head is definitely different - but the cable ... hmmm ... SONMEONE here knows about the cable compatibility.

Thank you for that info. I'm glad I didn't spend the money on it.

K6LCS, do you know if there are any other cables that might be compatible?

Sorry - All I know is that I was able to use a CAT5 extension for my Icom IC-208H ... I know Ted at Anaheim-HRO might know ... or Leo at Kenwood-USA.

I have a separation kit for the G-707 that I never used. The only thing that was in kit was an extension cable for the mic.

N9AVY, so my understanding is tht it doesn't have the face separation cable? That is actually what is most important to me. Either way, would you be willing to part with it?
