Marvin and James

Thanks, the equinox sure helps propagation into zone 30.

VK0AI has been on the air the past few days. GL to all who need Macquarie Island.

Is there a reason he isn't spotted? I did a search for VK0 in Spot Collector last night, and it was full of old spots but didn't have a single VK0AI. I have no idea when he is on the air, which means I have little chance of working him.

Cathy,

Go to dxsummit click on the spot search tab at the top of the page. On the spot search page type in VK0AI in the search box and hit enter. Click 100 for spot amount then click refresh spots. You can also download spots into a spreadsheet.

This morning I used psk reporter to show me when and on what band VK0AI was active.

Good Luck!

Dxsummit suggests that VK0AI has shut down. No new spots for a day or so, and the last one actually says "QRT for good?"

If so, I missed him by one day. The morning I got up at 3 AM local to work him was the morning after the last real spot. The previous morning was full of spots, including some from Eastern US.

Make DX hay while the sun shines...

Worked VK0AI this morning (1025z) on 30m FT8 for an ATNO and LotW QSL in less than 15 minutes! I suspect he is getting in some last minute QSOs before shipping out... I saw a blurb on another site about the resupply ship having arrived. So I am feeling REALLY fortunate as we plan to move in a few months and I suspect the last of my antennas should be coming down in a month or so.

Thanks, OM! 73!!!

YS1/AA4NC 15m, 17m, 20m, 30m, 80m all CW via LoTW. Don't hear stations from El Salvador very often, so these were nice. New ones for me.
