There is, alas, a class of DX station that believe that if they log you then of course you logged them.  Not just most of the time -- every time.

It's reflected in their practices.

I am grateful that most DX don't think that way.

I don't believe it.

MU0FAL, who read me the riot act (digitally) on FT8 for duping, just gave me my #100 digital confirmation on LoTW.

The only reason I duped him in the first place was because I saw multiple LoTW uploads subsequent to our original contact. His reaction was proof that I was in his log. I believe I was on a blacklist for a while.

I can understand that a duping (w/out a good reason) of a DXpedition is not appropriate, but I see no reason why it would be inappropriate to call again an ordinary station such as the above GU.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

yeah, some get a little uptight about the "dupe" thing.  I say if you are concerned about "dupe calls" taking up too much of your operating time, it is about time you uploaded to LOTW a little more reliably, and I won't "dupe" you.
Some folks upload once a day, some once a week some once a month, and some every year or two or not at all.

When you work me, you can be assured your LOTW confirmation will be waiting on you. I upload automatically within 10 seconds.  The only wait time is the processing time (typically 5 minutes or a little less) of LOTW itself.

It's probably just random fluctuation, but in my most recent "25" LOTW QSOs, I am seeing a lot of pre-2019 activity.

It's clear that people continue to sign up and continue to load at least the last couple of years of QSOs when they do so.

5T5PA 160m FT8 LoTW, #95 confirmed on Top Band

It is nice to get a good one on top band in the summer isn't it?  I was very pleased to work him a few days ago.

I know right? I accidentally hit the 160m button the other day and heard activity! Maybe a good sign of things to come this season for Top Band. 5 more to go..
