It looks like CM2XN uploaded to LOTW. Cuba is not rare, but for me LOTW confirmations from there are.

You know, just a year ago I was griping myself in this thread that I didn't have Cuba confirmed on phone via LOTW. See here: https://www.eham.net/ehamforum/smf/index.php?action=printpage;topic=108746.0

Since then, I've figured out, the big Cuban stations that CQ a lot on phone, tend not to be LOTW users. But the little Cuban stations that respond to CQ's, they do tend to be LOTW users. This is an interesting mix.

J5T, 3C1L, 3C0L, VK9MA all recently received via LoTW. The 80m confirmations received put me past the goal post for 5 Band DXCC.

Congrats x 2.  J5T on 80M put me over the top for 5BDXCC on LOTW too.

It isn't just Cuba.  There are a bunch of countries where the big stations aren't on LoTW.  And small stations that QSL promptly via LoTW if you can dig them out of the noise for a QSO.

Isn't it always?  It's not just the 75 bucks or so.  Compared to what I shelled out to get there, it's a relatively minor concern (unless the award just doesn't excite me in the end).

No, the headache also (at least for me) is finding someplace to put it.  And, for what?  So I can show it to my ham buddies?  They already know.

The newly designed 5BDXCC certificate is worth getting if you have the space to put it on your wall.

My first band counter via FT8.

The only reason I found out about him being on the air, was a manually entered cluster spot. I still do not have any automation for alerting me of bandfill opportunities via FT8.

I had actually been in A71AM's log in the past on 80M for RTTY contests but somehow I did not put the QSO in my log. I think I mighta busted the call and put it in as TF1AM? Who is in my log as an uncomfirmed 80M RTTY contact.

I think I saw WO7R calling him too but WO7R was in the wrong odd/even phase.

You saw correctly.  I tried a few of the "other phase" because someone showed up calling on the phase that A71AM was actually in.  Copy was intermittent and I have seen rare DX switch polarities before -- ugh -- so I tried a few the other way just to see if that rare but nasty thing happened.  I discovered I wasted some valuable time.

On the plus side, if he shows up again soon, I was hearing him as much as a half hour after his sunrise.
