Somehow, I found this on Facebook.  I assume this is legitimate.  If it is (and I don't know why it would not be) remember that not all of us grew up speaking English from the cradle:

Dear friends

To application of many hams I have ascended to the Lotw more 500 thousand QSO and
little by little I will put other 400 thousand qso until arriving to almost a million
of QSO from 1999 up to 2017, I wait to have pleased the friends
that they needed to confirm my country in the Lotw.

Regrettably I don't see him any objective to continue putting
my QSO in the Lotw because everything is statistical digital and I never can
to have the qsl card in my hands, also hill a lot of money to request an awards

It is my personal opinion, in these moments I have confirmed 324 countries
with all the QSL card in my hands that makes me feel very happy.

All the QSO starting from January 1 2018 will only be confirmed
via direct to my manager EA7ADH, as always we have made and I have completed
to hundred percent, the instructions to receive my qsl are to
continuation.

There are still plenty of hams that feel the same way - they will only do physical QSLing because they like receiving the cards. But, direct only can be pretty expensive for the requestors - it certainly is not the way to receive the most cards - accepting QSLs via the buro will get more responses, but fewer greenstamps!

I reply to all my incoming buro cards - probably 70% of them I've already received the LotW confirmation, so they are doing both. Doing both LotW (which costs nothing to upload) and the buro (which does have a cost to both upload and download) gets them the best of both worlds.

J35X... 10m CW during the ARRL DX contest via LOTW.

Nice to get a new mode and band confirmation as my only previous J3 QSO was with J3/VE7ACN on 17m SSB back in late 2016  Smiley

Some have suggested that Cuba can be tough to "get" in LOTW.

I am happy to report that a very active station, CO8LY, just uploaded a bunch of matches going all the way back to 2007 in my case.  It may be that some of them were uploaded before, can't remember (LOTW can "refresh" a match if you resubmit it).  This was only about half of my QSOs.  I'm quite sure the rest are good as he is always loud here.  So, I don't follow the rationale and, perhaps, I don't have to.  It may be he LOTW QSLs only the first band or first mode you work.  In any case, he has QSLed the ones I care about (thank you!).

It looks like we may see a lot more LOTW from this quarter in the future.
CO8LY just recently started uploading to LOTW, so the confirmations are slowly trickling in. He is very active so it may take a while for him to get all of his logs uploaded to LOTW. But it's good to see Cuba's probably most active station uploading!
Received several confirmations from him also, via LoTW, thanks.

H72DX on 17m SSB, 15m SSB, and 15m CW via LOTW. Could have worked more bands, but I really didn't chase this one much as I have YN on quite a few bands already...

Great DXpedition though!
