Thanks Jan. How exactly did you request it? As per QRZ.com instructions?

I sent him an email asking for his pay-pal info as per QRZ.com on Saturday, I've not heard back yet.

I exchanged cards with him back in 2001 when he lived in Germany and of course had no problems. I'm sure there will be no problem this time with pay-pal.

@Marvin

I use the email adress from qrz.com as paypal adress and donate 10$ and write the QSO Details in the Paypal Comment field.

Thats all.

Good luck. He QSL 100%, believe this.

I spoke with him today. The situation is getting worse there and he said there are delays with the mail. He is 100% but also VERY busy with more important issues.

Jan, Ray, Graham,

Thanks a million for your responses and for giving me hope. According to my XL spreadsheet, it's been 455 days today since I requested a QSL card from him as per his QRZ.com page instructions ($5 via PayPal). Since then, we've exchanged friendly emails on 4 or 5 occasions and he always assured me a QSL card would come. A month and a half ago, I sent him $15 via PayPal, asking him if he would be so kind to send me another QSL card via registered mail. He said he would. I need to be more patient.  Grin

I talked too soon  Grin Grin Grin

It just arrived... I'm holding the envelope in my hands as I type this...

One QSL must have been lost in mail many months ago though.

Congrats Marvin.

I am sure my card for the RTTY QSO is not far behind, unless it has been lost by "our postal system". I got a letter from a place 15 miles away from me dated 04 July 2016 and it arrived yesterday. Pony Express is faster than our Post.

I'm sure I'll get the card, he's a very nice man.

Abubaker, 5A1AL, has started to use LOTW.

As per LOTW web site:
Quote
Last upload for 5A1AL: 2016-07-30 03:44:02Z

He now has a QSL manager, W5UE. There will be OQRS set up soon, too.
