I got my general class license in 2013 and finally was able to get on the air this past weekend.

I'd like to start learning CW and have an iambic paddle. I'm going to start listening to morse code using the  Koch method with my iPhone, but I think "typing" using the paddle will really help solidify the codes for me. I can make the serial connection with my computer, but I don't know what apps are available for Mac OS X that can take the paddle directly using a serial port and decode it. Does anyone know of a program that does that? The alternative is using my radio as a keyer and using software to listen to the audio and decode, but that's clunky and it's a lot harder to sit on the couch and practice.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Regards,

Randall
