Right now I see them in the DX cluster on 40m and 80m. I'm hoping for a single QSO on 20m SSB. I have Bangladesh confirmed on digital and very recently worked on CW. An SSB QSO would be nice, if CONDX allow it...

GL to all who need S2-land.

Man .... I've got all my digits crossed in hopes of a QSO with these guys!  It looks like my best shot/path from CT will be LP - at least that's what the propagation crystal ball says.

In anticipation, I'm putting the ATNO zebra on alert because a QSO will put me 1 away from HR  Grin

Will be an ATNO if I can manage to hear and work them.

VOACAP says my best chance is ~0100z on 17m, and that is only 37%. I was amused to see I have a 1% chance on 12m in the same timeslot.

Bangladesh is beside Nepal so I would think the times when we can work S21ZED (S21ZEE) may be similar to when we have heard 9N7EI in recent days. From my QTH, in morning hours on 20m, the best I've heard 9N1EI was at around 1300z. I haven't paid any attention to evening opening since I didn't need it.

Their website doesn't mention any amplifiers. Hopefully they have some, but who knows.

9N7EI was copiable on 30m CW in the Boston area around 22Z today. A similar 30m shortpath opening is forecast for S2: from 21Z to 02Z. Besides 30m, I need S2 on 80m and 160m - both of which will be tough given the short interval of common darkness.

If I were seeking an S2 for an all-time new one, I'd exploit the shortpath openings on 20m (12Z to 17Z) and 17m (13Z to 16Z). The longpath openings to S2 from here are forecast to be weaker, but...

Their signal strenght on both 80 and 40 tells me they are NOT running 100 W Smiley

351 degrees from down here! Not impossible, but it will take some effort,

especially with the current band conditions.

I'll say.  They brought some serious heat.  They were loud on 20M CW into Colorado a little while ago.  Real loud.  I recorded my Q.

S21ZED on 20 Meters CW

Propagation was excellent all day.  9N7EI was strong on 20M SSB same time S21ZED was on 20M CW.

I live about 100 miles from you and with 3 (trapped) elements up 40' never heard a syllable or a dit from either all day.  It really is amazing the difference in workable DX between a really great station and a middling one.  You hear good.  I'll have to check to see if any of the other locals worked them.

The zone 22 stuff ain't for the weak.

Dave, you're absolutely right!  I have no idea what the heck I was looking at for propagation charts!  Roll Eyes

I better plan on being "sick" mid-morning the next few days, I need this one real bad. Only a handful away from Honor Roll.

If you'd like, I'll write you a doctor's note! (Now, what is the diagnostic code for Bangladeshi flu?)  Grin

I'm not a doctor, but I would guess it may be S2 or S21, LOL. I hope Paul feels better soon.  Grin
