Alrighty.

The KC4ZGP CW beacon is inactive. I thanks the thousands of who diligently sent signal
reports.

QSL cards on the way.

Hallo KC4ZGP Kraus, would you please list here the calls of the thousands of replies that you QSL-ed. Important for creating statistics and so.

I tried in the past. when activity was much higher, after a publication abt Hell of PA0SE with a one evening beacon "de PA0WV pse QSL" in Hell for one night on 80m. Turns out NOT any QSL reply but afterwards a lot of rumour in ham magazines and personal mail, induced by that.

Relics you can find on nonstopsystems.com

Time to die.

Herr VK5EEE,

After twenty years or so, I just had a Morse code QSO with a gentleman in Pennsylvania.
His name is Tom and his calll is WA3IKY.

He was a most patient person. Our top speed must have been 5wpm.
(I didn't want to rush him.) hi hi.

Your tagline 'human CW'. I use a paddle I got from 73 magaine in 1992. It uses a copper
board and conducts microcurrent via the hand. One tab is dits. The other tab is dahs.
Speed adjustable. I got up to near 20wpm then along came that darned computer.

Maybe we'll meet one day. 18.087MHz for now. The 20 meters fast, fast, fast crew can be scary.

Szervusz Kraus,

20m above 14030 should be slower, esp above 14050 you should find many slow speed stations. Fast ops, at least traditionally, tend to be down around 14025 and below.
17m is indeed a nice band (when not that DX terrorism split and 5NN stuff HI) where one can have relaxed chat too...

Good luck in your return to CW

Herr VK5EEE,

Looks like we meet today, May 29th 14.030-14.050, Morse code.

I'll try to take it easy on you. A real slow person has to be maddening.

You don't own a gun do you? hi hi

Not in Australia I don't, no. Here you have to keep them in a box locked up so if you are attacked, so you would not be able to use it anyway.
No, not maddening to QRSsss, I just get a lot less verbose... at 40 WPM a lot more gets said and spelt out at 4WPM a lot briefer, so it doesn't end up being 10% of the speed, but maybe 30% or so. Example:

40WPM over: DE VK5EEE R FB TIM YES I AGREE ON THAT REGARDING THE POPADOMS ES THE RIVETING CONVERSATION ABOUT TOMATOES ES PRICE OF MULCH
vs
4WPM over: BK R AGREE ALL

Louis,

I see you're in Australia. Been seeing your call and didn't occur to me until now.

Looks like I'll have to rotate the KC4ZGP seventeen meter delta loop your way.
It's broadside is typically north-south.

Now what time shall we meet tomorrow, June 3rd, 18.087MHz, Morse?

8:00 a.m. for me is 1200UTC. I reckon 9:00p.m. for you is 1200UTC as well.

Let's give it a try?

Back to the paddle.

GM/GE Kraus,

During sunspot minima, no chance at that time via short path I can assure you, no need for me to refer to any online tables, I can map that out in my head.
The could be a chance depending on antennas, if the path is mostly in LIGHT and has had enough time to heat up the F2 layer. BUT not with my current antenna which is a 3m long vertical! And only resonant on 40m. The lovely antennas you see on my QRZ page were cut down by rats. Rats on drugs run wild here in Australia and the police will do nothing about it as it affects their politically correct crimes statistics. In spite of this lovely country of wide open spaces and nature, rats have bred like, well, rats.

For some reason the rats here like ice, it's a drug, and here proportionate to population taking that into account, ice consumption is 10-20 times higher than in USA. But again this statistic would reveal Australia to be what it now is, and then the brand name would be affected and the Chinese would stop importing food from here, though they'd still export the junk that rats feed on.

Sorry I went off topic... no can do anything as yet, maybe be some months given the weather now, before I have antennas back up again.
