Not sure of any Amateur Radio applications (internet-connected/controlled receivers?), but Adobe announced this week that Flash is going away in just over 3 years.  Good riddance, as far as I'm concerned.

https://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2017/07/adobe-flash-update.html

Here are the browser vendors' plans for its demise:
Mozilla (Firefox):  https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Plugins/Roadmap
Google (Chrome):  https://www.blog.google/products/chrome/saying-goodbye-flash-chrome/
Microsoft (IE/Edge):  https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2017/07/25/flash-on-windows-timeline/

I could care less one way or the other. Sure hope the GOV comes out of the dark ages and updates their websites to the current decades standards. Many NOAA/NWS Maps and Graphs are still in the dark ages.

Second the motion. But you have to admit it is very clever how they always ask you to update it when you are in the middle of something important.

Should have been dead long ago. Now if we could get web masters and others to quit using it...

Should have been dead long ago.

And it would of been IF there had been a viable replacement (which there was not)

They don't have a choice now.

I was surprised when installing RCForb to find that I had to put Flash back on the computer. I'd removed it for security reasons to no ill effect at all really. It's probably just expeditious for them to use Flash to get stuff done but i'm looking forward to when they don't.
