It was really stupid, and ridiculously obsessed over by the OP on his latest YouTube piece of work.
Ah, you open your virtual mouth and reveal the truth: you did not even watch and listen to my entire video.  Otherwise, you would not lie so easily.

Why does anyone care how ham radio is depicted in the entertainment medium?  Why would anyone but the fanatics get upset of how some dumb show uses ham radio as a prop to fit their script.  I didn't see the show nor would I bother just because they have some guy using a radio.  Get on with your lives and stop ruminating about this insignificant depiction.  By reading what some of you are writing one would think that ham radio operators are a race and that the show exhibited racism in the way ham radio was used in the context of the show.

Obviously, you care that someone cares about how people perceive the amateur radio service.  Why do you care so much that others care?

Mr. Debakey's free, but he's a little bit conciliatory.  Try Mr. Barnard, Room 12A, just along the corridor.

Oh, I'm sorry, just one moment. Is this a five-minute argument or the full half-hour?

If you think getting your underwear in a "wedgie" over NCIS is ridiculous, let me tell you about a guy I know.

When he came home from work his wife was all over his a$$ about everything, including seeing other women.

He said he couldn't understand this "As soon as I get in the door" stuff and tolerated it the daily screaming matches for weeks until he was off one day and his wife set down for her daily soap on TV.

It finally dawned on him that his wife was so absorbed by this bed hopping and every other gut wrenching problem during the program that she was taking it out on him.

He said after he broke this $hit up (which according to him was like getting someone off dope) all things settled down to where she was civilized once more.

Bottom line:  Some of us become absorbed in the programs we watch.  If you think this is off the wall, recall the last time your favorite ball team scored and you hollered "Yea!"

It's the same with a TV program that maligns our beloved hobby.   Roll Eyes
