From your description, I think 2 things could be occurring:

- Your cell carrier might not permit those points inbound.
- Try using Public Proxy.
- See: http://forums.qrz.com/index.php?threads/anyone-using-verizon-wireless-jetpack-have-any-success-with-echolink.562524/#post-4215849 ...something similar was discussed there.

Hi...thanks for the idea, but I tried several different proxys and they all gave me the same message...."cannot connect to proxy XXXXX. Check Configuration yada yada yada"....I could sit here all day trying every one of them on that list until I am blue in the face, and I would probably still get the same message.....everything else mentioned in that QRZ thread I did already.....at this point, it's pretty much a dead issue unless I junk the jetpack, which isn't happening anytime soon.....

No...you could run your own Private Proxy at home...on a port allowed by the Jetpack, such as: 443/tcp, 80/tcp, 8080/tcp, etc.

The Proxy server is just a Java JAR file with a text config file. If you're really into EchoLink, this might interest you.

The issue is likely the port number used by the server.
