Of four operations I've worked, only one was a T5. The rest were 6Os, which I believe were in the defacto state of Somaliland. One of those operations had Republic of Somaliland printed on the card. From what I understand, this area is more stable and a safer place to be than mainland Somalia. Perhaps one day they can break away, but for now it counts as Somalia.

Hi,

When I saw Ken at the DX Convention, in Visalia last April, I explained that he owed me $500 for the 25 hours I spent trying to get him while he was at 3C1,  but could not break the pipe-ups  Grin.  I worked 3C1L in October so now the debt is canceled, so hopefully 6O6O will be ATNO for me..... Have a safe trip Ken....

They have already broken away from Somalia, the US and most other countries just do not recognize it as an independent state

We loook very much forward to this trip, and hope to put on a great show with many QSOs as well some low band activity and special mode. We plan to install beverages 200-230m long to NA. We will mostly do CW, but Adrian promised to do RTTY and FT8 when needing a break. We are also quite aware that 6O is sought after on the west coast as it is ranked #10. If we have reliable internet you will also benefit from instant clublog and lotw upload. We hope to be QRV in the evening Jan 3rd local time.

Any phone activity or are you all not doing SSB?

WOW !

Instant ClubLog and LOTW uploads would be wonderful !
So many people feel the need to dupe a DXpedition over and
over again because they normally cannot verify their contacts
until the operation is over and the members of the team are
home to 'do' the uploads.

This should cut down on the unnecessary calls.
(At least I hope it does)

Good DX guys, and be safe !!!

Yes for low bands we will lsn for ZL at your sunrise at about 1630-1700 UTC. We also have a bi-directional beverage in your direction, so we can block EU.
