I put the best in quotes because I fully understand all answers are ultimately subjective.

But I won a $50 gift card from my employer at Christmas and am looking for something to purchase for the shack.

What item or items would your purchase?  I will give room in the Total Bill for shipping.

I'd look at either a traditional (round w / hands) 24-hour clock set to GMT or an articulated ("architect lamp") task light with large magnifier lens...

A good desk light that can be angled to provide illumination to any point on the desk you want.

I left the question open ended on purpose to allow for a wide variety of answers.

I currently have a Yaesu-FT3200D for my local repeater, ARES and Storm Tracking.  I have a Yaesu FT-7900R as an RMS Gateway (running the PiGate RMS software on a Pi 3). I have a Yaesu FT-450 for HF. I primarily am still listening but have made few voice contacts. I have also worked several of the digital modes.  Making voice contacts seems more of challenge from my QTH.  I also have a Yaesu FT-897 with tuner as a backup to the 450 and for portable use.

I have built a nice portable power system with battery booster and Power Pole distribution.

I suppose I could work on my power system in the shack and have my own batteries instead of swapping out when I go portable.

I do need an antenna analyzer and CW key for the 450 & 897.

I think that I would get a fancy fancy coffee maker and a couple of LED strip lights.

You're certainly well equipped.
Of course, you won't find an antenna analyzer or cw paddle for $50.

What's your "reference library" like?
If you don't already have one, perhaps the latest edition of the ARRL Handbook. The soft-cover edition is $50 plus shipping form ARRL, a few dollars less on Amazon with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. If you look through the ARRL store, you may find other titles that strike your fancy.

Are you an ARRL member?
If not, $50 pays your first year's dues, that brings 12 months of QST.
If you are, $50 extends your membership for another year.
