If you want an inexpensive straight key, these are good.  I have one. They come in many colors and styles.

I like the buying some wire idea and making yourself some better antennas.  Also the dummy load is a great station addition as a good piece of test equipment. Also a good VOM if you don't already have one.

Many good suggestions. I particularly like the dummy load idea. No shack should be without one. Good lighting cannot be underestimated. And wire for antennas is a must.

And bribing the deleter of posts would be a service to the entire community.   Grin

This Spring Iam looking for an old metal desk to straighten up shack .I will put my Icom twins 718 and the GREAT ONE ICOM 7300 side by side .And the Kenwood HF amp and laptop and really make it look nice 50.00 and some good ole Elbow grease.Wow.

Some would buy packs of needed connectors, others might purchase sundries like DeOxIt and other chemicals for the test bench.

I'm sure a few would waste it on several cases of cheap 807s.
