Hello all,   just got a Yaesu FT2500M two meter radio and I am wondering if it can be programed using the "chirp" freeware.  Does anyone know if that software is compatible with the FT2500M?  I would of course also need to get cable to hook it to the computer.  I have been searching around on the 'net and haven't found one so far.  Any leads or information would be greatly appreciated.  I did manage to find and down load the users manual for this radio, so that's a start.
Thanks in advance,
73s

A quick look at the danplanet (chirp) website and the supported rig list does NOT show that it supports the 2500.
A quick google search led me to RT Systems ..... neither do they.
I would check with Yaesu .........

The 2500 is not programmable by computer.  You have to do them through the front panel.

This radio does not have any provision for computer programming of memories.  However, you can clone one radio memories to another (that is not much help if you only have one radio).  Given the age of this unit, it is highly unlikely that anyone will take the time to reverse engineer the cloning process and use to create programming software.
