Some never respond, period, many are never updated or deleted....
I think forums should have a time limit on for sale postings and then delete....

Must be too much work to go in an update or post...or something....

 Huh

QTH.COM - they expire, it is deleted
QRZ.COM - Once Sold, usually doesn't show that unless someone running the swap board closes the thread (low percentage are).
Eham.Net - Nothing, they just remain open

Really confusing when you contact someone and they tell you (if they bother to respond that is), "oh I sold that a couple of months ago".  I usually reply to either update the status or delete.  Doesn't do anything for me that someone clears out the posting and edits it "Item has been sold".  Who cares.  Just delete it.

To me it would make sense if the ads would expire in 30 days on this venue.  If not sold by then it could be re posted.

Reading the reason eHam has is half valid. What would make it complete is to lock the ad from further posting after a pre determined time due to lazy posters and those who cannot tell a posting is old or stale.
Now this makes cents! And will go the distance to keep all happier with themselves...

What? What do you mean a "for sale " post from 5 years ago is no longer valid?   Cheesy
