Good Morning,
I am very much considering taking the plunge as they with the Expert MB1 SDR.
With regards to SSB use, I have found with help from Yuri at NSI that the Heil PR-20 and CC-1-XLR-YM will work very well with the Unit.
I do have to get the proper cable to connect my SPE 1.3K to the radio.
But, here are some question I have to those that are presently using the MB1.
Is the software stable?
What I mean is comparing the MB1 software versus the Flexradio SDR is the MB1 software more stable?
I read many horror stories sometimes with the Flex SDR software.
Also, is it hard to setup?
I am a contest operator, so I would need to install N3FJP Logger and also N1MM Plus.
Not too sure about the CW Skimmer program though.
Looks like a nice program, but seems a bit expensive.
Finally, are you happy with the radio and the total operation of the system?
Any advice/comments you would have are greatly appreciated!
