The mobiles appear to be rebadged Maxon TM8000s. http://maxonamerica.com/product/tm-8000-series/, Maxon is Maxon CIC  or Maxon  Chongho Information & Communications Company (CIC) .

BridgeCom is an American company but it is entirely possible that the radios are assembled in China since most radios are these days.

Maxcom is a Korean company and I think the majority of their products are assembled in Korea.  They are very high quality, on a par with Motorola.

almost all electronics are mode in DragonLand these days... China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand.  parts are sourced globally, but most of them are also from Asia as well. that includes virtually everything in telco/data networks. quality can be demanded and received, and the manufacturing is way cheaper than in the US or Europe.

Read the November QST. The manufacturer is definitely Chinese. Never confuse Chinese-made with Japanese-made. Chinese-made can be good, but buyer beware since there is a variety of quality out there in the market. Buy from companies that support the amateur radio hobby.
