In the past there was a free software package that allowed the audio to be displayed by a computer by using the microphone input. Any one have any idea where it can be found or another program like it. What I have found does not work in my present system. I replace my computer after a hard failure and I would like to get another copy.

Search on DL4YHF. His is highly recommended. I've built 2 of his frequency counters. SPECTRAN is another one.

You can also try these applications by WD6CNF. There is an Dual Channel Oscilloscope and Audio Spectrum Analyzer. I have them on my Windows 10 laptops and on an old computer with XP. They seem to work just fine.
