I thought I would provide a summary of the solution to the EMI from the LG refrigerator.  First, I received no assistance from LG other than acknowledgement of my request for assistance.  Not a great surprise.  I was able to eliminate the EMI by use of an FN2060-20-6 filter in combination with two large toroids on the power cable.

Now that the EMI from the refrigerator is eliminated I am working on the other, smaller, noise contributors.  The noise floor on 20 meters has gone from S8-9 to S5-6.

Thanks to all who provided suggestions and shared their experiences with addressing EMI.

N00b to HF.  New QTH has this refrigerator.  Antenna Ultimax100 planned on house exterior 15-20 feet from refrigerator.  Can you describe how Schafner unit was wired/mounted?  Diagram would be very helpful.

Interesting note about FCC regulation.  Having worked in a different area of compliance for 15+ years, speculate LG response would be, "Product is exempt. Good luck."  (Read: Go pound sand, no plans to mitigate.)

Chuck:

I sent you an email with details of how I configured the EMC filter.
