If you're a ham who does crossword puzzles, the 3/24/19 New York Times puzzle is made for you.

I love crossword puzzles.  Can someone send me a copy of this one, or can I get it on line?

It was titled 'Code Switching', uses the NATO phonetic alphabet.

Some local papers have the NYT crossword. I tried online crosswords once, didn't take to it.

The simplicity of pen on paper, is much more relaxing.

Edit to add:
Dallas Morning News reruns NYT crosswords.

I think there was a mistake (probably with our local paper):  the NYT puzzle printed for that day had nothing to do with "code switching" or ham radio related at all.  Got it finished, though  Grin

That was the puzzle in the weekly NY Times Magazine.

I don't believe it's carried elsewhere.

Last Christmas, my wife gave me a special collection of reprinted NYT crossword puzzles, on look-alike original pages of the Times from the 1940s through the early 1960s.  On the Tuesday, July 4, 1961 page I noticed something that definitely has some interest for Amateur Radio operators.

It's the "Society" page, and describing a bride's dress, veil and other accouterments takes up several lines.  Then we read that

"Mrs. Hiram Percy Maxim 2nd was the matron of honor...".

Wife of the son of The Old Man himself!

That would be great if someone would post a copy of that ham related crossword puzzle on here. Thanks, Jim W5JJG
