In consumer electronics class, we where told never to measure the collector of the Horizontal output transistor, due to transient higher voltages, and put one hand in the back pocket when working with hi voltage.
One day in class there was a loud buzz, it was a multi meter, classmate measured the powered magnetron of a microwave..End of multi meter.
There were a few color code rhymes that down right awful.

If you post a specific repair question on a forum, the answer you need won't appear until after you've made the repair or sold the rig for scrap.
