Hi:

Just received this amp and it works (keys up) great on 2 meters FM. I am using a Ameritron ARB-704 amp relay, with RCA phono cord going from amp on the ARB704 to the Mirage Amp.

My question is although it works great on FM, I cannot get it to key up on SSB...…

What am I not thinking of / doing wrong?

Thanks,

Looking at your recent posts. There's a history of issues transmitting on SSB.

Maybe post some more info. Transceiver, settings, etc.
So if someone stops by to assist, they'll have something to work with.  Wink

When you say "won't key up" do you mean that the TX/RX relay doesn't click? Or no output or what? Just in case, do you know that on SSB that you won't see power out without modulation?

That is correct no TX relay click......when I use FM mode I can see the AMP meter showing a draw while transmitting, but no AMP draw on SSB....

On SSB, no RF power will be produced without audio. So unless you are speaking into the microphone during transmit, there will be no output from the radio nor amplifier.....
