In conjunction with two local schools, the Nashua Area Radio Society will be launching a High-Altitude Balloon (HAB) carrying an APRS payload and two cameras tomorrow, June 9th between 10:30a and 11:30a eastern time from Hollis, NH. The flight will take about 2 1/2 hours with a projected burst altitude of around 110,000 ft.

HAB Launch!

Students will begin flight preparations at 9 am at a local high school sports field. We will be live streaming video to the Nashua Area Radio Society Facebook page throughout the day.

You can track our HAB during the flight on aprs.fi using the callsign N1FD-11.

You can read more about our HAB and see a video of our previous HAB flights here (the article also contains a direct link to track our HAB during flight) -

Our HAB launch is part of a STEM Learning project with Hudson Memorial School and Bishop-Guertin High School here in New Hampshire.
