My family gave me a Tecsun PL-880 for my birthday - what a great little radio.

It has a sticker on the speaker grill.  Has anyone tried peeling it off?  Am I going to be left with a sticky mess?

Cheers.

I bought one a few years ago as a travel radio; it's a very good performer indeed, much better than its Sony predecessor which was "state-of-the-art" in its time.

The sticker just peeled-off with no residue.

Thanks.

Went for it and you're right, it came off cleanly.

I left the sticker on but it looks to be just a 'marketing' stickers that would come off easily, as already confirmed.

Just FYI, If you ever have a sticker or something similar that WONT come off. Saturate a Q tip with WD-40 and rub it on the sticker only and let it sit for a few hours. The sticker will just wipe off and just slide right off. Works every time.

Yabut,

Some stickers are easy to come off when new, but after awhile they become very strongly bound to the case!

Out here people take the stickers off their gizmos and put them on their refrigerator doors.

That way they can get their reading for the day completed while making dinner.
