I am making the 10 meter adaptation to my Drake L-7's per the instructions given in the QST article back in the 1980's. I have made all the modifications except the one where you connect a 68 pf capacitor to the input side of the 15 meter coil. (The input side is the bottom end closest to the clip).

I have yet to figure out just how to get to the bottom of the 15 meter coil to solder in this capacitor. It seems impossible to reach down that far through the removeable cover on the bottom to access the lower part of the 15 meter coil.

If any of you have completed this adaptation, I would most appreciate hearing how you accomplished it.
