I agree with that.

Also: If you let us know exactly what your transformer requirements are, maybe one of us has one you can drop in, for lower than "new" cost.

I know I certainly have a shelf full (a *lower* shelf!) of power and HV transformers, all new surplus from Henry, Collins, et al, possibly something to fit the bill.  But we'll never know if you don't tell us what you're looking for!

Hello my name is Joe kd5ycy. I'm looking for a plate transformer that will do 2100v @ 500mis and a screen supply of 6.3v @ 6-8 amp. Please let me know if you have something I can use.. Thanks for your time.

Hi Folks,

I have just had a terrible experience with Tubes_Tubes_Tubes trying to get my Trammy rewinded.

Is there any one else who does this work at a good price???

I had a new transformer built for my Swan Mark 1 amplifier by Heyboer Transformers in Michigan.  They did a nice job and were less expensive than Peter Dahl.

Usually less expensive just to buy a new transformer vs. rewinding one because you avoid the dismantling labor cost when buying the new one.

Here is their web site:
