Hello to all,

I've found out sometime new after TX on any band, i have a stange RX for 2 to 3 seconds and than rx returns ok. It sound's like electrical spark's for a few seconds when i return to RX.

Any suggestion what it can be.

I am using a Kenwood TS-870s, all wired ok and this problem is new!

Sounds like your RX contacts on the internal T-R relay in the AL-811 aren't working too well, and need cleaning.

If you do need to clean those contacts, use something very *non*-abrasive, like alcohol, or a dollar bill rubbed between contacts, something like that.  Never use a file or "burnishing tool" on such relay contacts.

I was having the same problem with the T/R relay in my AL-80B. I used a product by CAIG Laboratories called DeoxIt to clean the relay contacts.  I carefully removed the relay armature by unhooking the spring at one end.  This allowed me to inspect the contacts and get to them.  Rather than spraying the contact cleaner all over the place, I applied it with a "chamois stick" from my local electronics parts store (Gateway Electronics). A "Q-tip" might also work, but you risk getting cotton fuzz on the contacts.
