I have just purchased a TR-7A serial no.10776, and I realize there is an article called - Identifying The Drake TR-7 Differences and Versions by: Ronald Baker - that says that the TR-7A Serial no. began in the low 11000 range, and although I think this is very good article helping to prevent the possibility of purchasing a counterfeit TR-7A I also think; since communicating with John Kriner who has serviced more TR-7/A's than any person alive and who has recently had a discussion with Bill Frost the long time Service Manager at Drake as to when the change to the 'A' took place that I have a legitimate 'A'. My question is; are there any others owners of low serial TR-7A's with any documentation to support that the ‘A’ production began before S/N 11000.
