I have a '97 Honda CRV. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience mounting a multiband HF antenna (likely a screwdriver) to this vehicle.

I'm trying to avoid the easy way of using a hitch mount since I currently don't have a trailer hitch and it would add (at least) $100 to the cost just to begin mounting an antenna.

Are there any other 'gotchas' running HF that might be specific to Honda CRVS?

Anyone care to share their experience? Thanks in advance

You might want to look at Hi-Q's web site for ideas. They make several good mounts and their site has quite a few examples.

As long as you take your time to do a neat install, including the requisite bonding and noise abatement stuff, you won't have any gotchas.
