Good Morning Forum Members,

This question is for anyone who uses a SG7500NMO. Do you know if it is a gold plated strap for inside the connecotr or is it a strap? I ask because I also own 2 7900 and when I tried to mount the 7900 on the side of the truck. The SWR shot up through the Roof. yet whe I mounted the antenna permantly to the truck it was fine.

can any 7500 owners comment?

thank and 73,

You didn't say how you mounted it to the side, so if indeed the SWR was high, it probably wasn't mounted correctly.

The biggest problem with the Diamond SG series is their sturdiness. If you live in an area with a lot of low hanging limbs, you'll soon discover this on your own.
