I have an 8' Dish mounted on a 15' Pole. I would like to use it for 13 & 23cm but need to be able to point it correctly. What is the best way to use the dish with Aizmuth and elevation control?

Thanks

Hi Ivars,

Have Mike Crawford weld up a screw drive assembly for elevation and a chain drive assembly for azmuth, and a few thousand dollars later, you'd have it!  <grin>

Personally, I'd probably sell the dish, pedestal, LNA, downconverter, etc, and put up loop yagis...easier to steer, and can be tower mounted for terrestrial work as well (seriously).  I had a 7' solid reflector dish with the whole works of TV stuff for 2.4GHz at my last house, ended up selling it to the local aluminum scrap collector (who at least came to pick it up) when fibre optic, digital, 900-channel cable TV came to the neighborhood.  Of course, tipping it straight up, it might have made an interesting ornamental bird bath.

73 & catch you on 15,

Start with this web page, just recently updated.

He has an entire page with photos devoted to TVRO antenna conversions for AO-40 as well as new position controllers and indicators.
