Can anyone help: I'd like to recieve FM Radio music audio on my extended recieve frequencies of 88 to 108Mhz, but it's not coming through...also AM? is there a mod, whether keyed or internal, to accomplish this?

I would not attempt, under any circumstances, to modify a Handheld. If you want to get FM music in addtion to ham freqs, get a T81A - which does FM very nicely (I only program in classical stations), as well as covers 1.2 GHZ and 6 meters (I'd have preferred 220 as a choice, but I really wanted an HT with 1.2Ghz to get activity going on our repeater here in Long Beach). The Kenwood F6A may get wideband FM, and the new VX7R might. The T81A is going to be the least expensive of the three.
